Dominic Field has been in the gambling industry for 15 years, in a variety of roles. He discovered a love of horse racing and playing cards at the University of Dundee, where he founded the poker society, serving as chair for three years.
After leaving with a Politics degree, he joined William Hill, starting out at the very bottom as a cashier. Always a frustrated journalist, he began writing football match reports, as well as horse racing tips, poker strategy and casino advice, to supplement his income.
In 2010, he moved to London to join EDITEC, Africa’s largest retail sports betting operator as an odds compiler. He soon became involved in product development, before eventually launching the company’s first ever online betting sites.
By 2016, he was seeking a new challenge, and moved to the Philippines in 2016 to work with the country’s leading sportsbook. After a brief stint in Kenya with Dafabet, he returned to Manila in early 2019. There, he launched a brand new gambling company, as well as working on casino projects in South Asia. It was then that he discovered a love of slots.
In early 2021, he took the decision to leave his career in operations management behind, returning to his love of writing on a full-time basis. These days, he produces slots, casino and poker content from the beautiful white beach of Boracay in the Philippines.
