Regular Symbols

Like most slots at online casinos, this game uses playing card icons as the lower-value symbols. Wins of 0.05x, 0.10x, 0.15x and 0.20x await you for matching three to six J, 10 and 9 symbols. Q through A, meanwhile, issue prizes of 0.10x, 0.15x, 0.20x and 0.25x for matching between three and six. 

The better-paying symbols, ranked from lowest to highest, are the clover, horseshoe, mushroom and diamond. Landing three of the clover, horseshoe and mushroom earns you from 0.10x to 0.20, with six-of-a-kind returning 0.30x to 1x. 

Match just two diamond symbols for a 0.20x payout, while three, four, five and six returns 0.5x, 1x, 2x and 5x.

Wilds

The wild unicorn symbols substitutes for any other except the scatter. These wild symbols will move either up, down, left or right, but not over reels one or six. As they gallop off the screen, they leave behind a trail of wilds or multiplier wilds, worth up to 10x.

Scatters

The scatter symbol is a fairytale castle that shimmers as it appears. It can only land on reels one and six, but you’ll receive eight free spins whenever two or more appear. Any additional scatter symbol adds another four free spins to the total.  

Reactions

At the end of each round, winning symbols are removed from the grid, replaced with new symbols from above.

This game is something of an anomaly. It looks just like most of Big Time Gaming’s Megaways slots, but doesn’t use that particular mechanic. It does, however, offer 4,096 ways to win, along with reactions and a fairly standard free spins game.

The slot’s focus is clearly the animated unicorn wild. Not only is it garish, over-the-top in brightness and color, but it grants pretty good wins whenever wild multipliers are added. Aside from the wild unicorns, the game’s graphics are impressive; it’s been a while since we’ve seen something so visually detailed.

Overall, the slot is sound, with an above-average RTP of 96.53%, high variance and an impressive maximum potential win of 56,800x. The theme, however, may not be everyone’s cup of tea. While the betting limits are clearly set up to appeal to the more casual player.
