Basic Details of the Cash Bandits 3 Slot
Cash Bandits 3 Details, RTP and Volatility
Spin the reels of this classic Cops and Robbers slot from as little as $0.01 per play, rising to a maximum of $25. Set on a traditional 5x3 grid of reels, there are up to 25 paylines available in this high-volatility Realtime Gaming release.
RTG is not exactly known for generous return to player rates, particularly in their progressive jackpot slots, but Cash Bandits 3 bucks that trend. Many online casinos offer this game with an RTP of 96.50%, though a 95.03% version does exist.
A maximum payout of 50,000x the line bet awaits lucky players, plus there are two jackpots up for grabs. The largest of these progressive prize pool pays more than $1,000.
A bet per line of $0.01 is in play, seen bottom-left. Jackpot pools are displayed at the top, either side of the game’s logo.
Theme & Graphics in Cash Bandits 3
Cops and Robbers is one of the all-time classic slot themes, pre-dating online casinos and harking back to the era of fruit machines in bars. In this July 2020 release, RTG puts a fresh spin on a classic idea. However, the graphics leave something to be desired, and they’re not much of an improvement on the two older titles in this series.
A tense score backed by a steady bongo beat sets an anxious tone. You can almost imagine a burglar tiptoeing around the bank vault as it plays. In addition, a short but dramatic tune can be heard whenever two scatters appear, teasing you into believing the crucial third symbol will appear. These sounds certainly add to an immersive feel.
Cash Bandits 3 Slot Features
Some new slots are guilty of overcomplicating matters, but that’s not the case here. The next section of our Cash Bandits 3 review discusses the simple but effective features which help this classic slot to remain so popular.
Regular Symbols
Everything found on the reels relates to criminal stereotypes in some way. The three lowest-paying symbols, for instance, might be found on a typical cop at any moment. These are a pair of handcuffs, a megaphone and a donut, all paying 5x, 15x and 100x your line bet for three, four and five matches.
The mid-tier symbols are a newspaper story, a pile of cash, a swag bag, a police car and a cop’s badge. For matching five on a payline, the latter two symbols pay 500x, while the other three offer 200x.
Finally, three higher-paying symbols are, from largest to smallest, a police officer, a female victim and a crime scene. You only need to find two of these to secure a reward of either 3x or 5x. But payouts rise as high as 2,000x for hitting five cop symbols.
Wilds
The wild features our old friend from the first two games, donning his trademark eye mask and hooped sweater. This criminal substitutes for all regular symbols, but it also offers rewards of its own. Receive 10x, 100x, 500x and 5,000x whenever you match between two and five.
Scatters
The scatter, which bears the game’s logo, can appear on any reel. Drop three onto the reels to trigger the Vault Feature. What’s more, matching three, four or five also pays a reward of 2x, 20x and 50x.
Vault Feature
Landing three scatters guarantees you five free spins with a 2x multiplier in play. However, you must first try to unlock six vaults, which contain additional free spins and multipliers.
You’ll randomly receive five or six guesses to crack the codes. However, four and five triggering scatters grants you seven and eight attempts, respectively. Press any of the ten digits on the pin pad and a correct guess will be filled in on the relevant vault’s passcode.
Unlock all six safes to secure the maximum possible number of extra spins, which is 385. But even if you’re completely unsuccessful, you'll still have five free plays. Full vault details can be seen in the table below.
Vault Code Digits | Free Spins Awarded | Additional Multiplier |
6 | 200 | 6x |
5 | 100 | 5x |
4 | 50 | 4x |
3 | 20 | 3x |
2 | 10 | 2x |
1 | 5 | 1x |
Progressive Jackpots
Two progressive jackpots also exist. The Minor Jackpot seeds at $250, with the Major beginning at $1,000. There’s no trick to winning either, as they’re issued purely at random. Any spin can trigger their release and the prize pool is added to existing winnings from that round.
The numbers 2 and 6 are chosen, seen on the keypad in red. 6 appeared in two of the safe combinations with 3 picks remaining.

Cash Bandits 3 Review – Our Final Verdict
What can we say about Cash Bandits 3? It’s a fairly average game that doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel. Although it’s the third title in this RTG series, it offers very little that’s new, save for some marginally improved graphics.
Compared to other similarly-themed games, don’t expect innovation or complexity. It’s a good old fashioned 5x3 penny slot that’s ideal for newcomers or small-stakes bettors with its familiar features. You’ll quickly pick up the rules even if you’ve never seen a slot machine before. This undoubtedly helps it to remain popular.
Despite the game’s otherwise basic feel, the Vault Feature is actually really good fun. As a high-volatility slot, don’t expect to trigger it too often. But when you do, it’s genuinely exciting to try and crack the codes as you hope to win additional free spins.
