Regular Symbols

Seven regular symbols can be found in Joker’s Jewels. As you might guess from the title, these are either linked to jewelry, or to the court jester. The highest-paying symbol is the titular joker, who returns 1,000x your line bet for five on a payline. You’ll also secure prizes of 200x and 20x when you match four or three jokers.

Three other joker-related symbols can be seen on the reels, which are his lute, juggling pins and a pair of brightly-colored shoes. Expect returns of 40x, 10x and 4x your line bet from the footwear, while the other two both pay 200x, 40x and 10x.

A ruby red gemstone offers the same payouts as the shoes, with two other jewels also returning 40x for five on a payline. However, these pay slightly smaller rewards of 8x and 4x for landing four and three. Finally, the spherical dark-blue gem also offers a return of 1x your line bet for just two matches.

Bonus Symbol

A regal-looking crown bearing the word “Bonus” is the game’s only other symbol. This is a scatter, so it doesn’t have to land on a fixed payline for you to win. Collect three for a return of 10x the total bet, with larger prizes of 50x and 250x if you can hit four or five.

However, don’t expect a bonus game to trigger when you collect these scatters. Joker’s Jewels doesn’t offer any sort of feature, and this symbol is just a slightly different way to collect prizes the old-fashioned way.

Wilds

Pragmatic Play really chose to build the simplest of online slots with Joker’s Jewels. Not only does this game lack a bonus round, it doesn’t even offer a wild symbol to help you form wins.

How to Play Joker’s Jewels Online

The Joker’s Jewels slot is incredibly easy to play. After configuring your preferred bet size using the plus and minus icons in the bottom-right corner, there are two ways to spin the reels. Land a minimum of three matching symbols on any of the game’s five paylines to secure a prize. The one exception here is the dark blue orb, as you only require two. Combinations must start from the leftmost reel, except for the bonus symbol, which pays anywhere.

There’s not a great deal to say about Joker’s Jewels. Even accounting for its 2018 release date, this is an extraordinarily basic creation that doesn’t even feature a wild symbol, let alone bonus games. We guess the goal was to produce a classic-looking slot that appeals to nostalgic players longing for “the good old days”.

Pragmatic Play has definitely achieved that particular aim, anyway. This simple slot is easy to pick up, with no complex mechanics and very low betting limits. The sounds are extremely retro, too. But, aside from a solid RTP of 96.50%, the old-school vibe is literally all Joker’s Jewels has going for it.

A maximum potential payout of 1,040x is all you can expect, which is small for a medium-high volatility game. Worse still, there are no bonus features at all, not even a free spins round. Plus, if you’re anything like us, you’ll find the music gets quite irritating pretty quickly. We are not amused!
